The image, taken by an unknown photographer, presents a corner view of the pub, showcasing its distinctive red brick facade and ornate signage. The pub, which was not owned by the Charrington and Company Limited, was a popular local watering hole for residents of the W6 postal area. The back of the print reveals intriguing details about the pub's history. According to the trading records documented, the Tamworth PH was in operation as early as 1929 and continued to serve its community until at least 1961. Sadly, the pub met its demise by 1934, as indicated by the date on the duplicate trading record found in box 20. This photograph offers a glimpse into the past, transporting us back to a time when the Tamworth PH was a beloved establishment in Fulham. The 1930s were a significant era in British history, marked by economic instability and social change.
