EDITORS COMMENTS
In this heartwarming photo print, we see four nuns from the St. Joseph School for Mentally Handicapped Boys at Broome Court, Severn Stoke, Worcester. These dedicated women have formed a group to entertain the boys and bring joy into their lives. Last Monday, on St. Patrick's Day, they took their talent beyond the school walls and appeared in public for charity in Longton, Stoke-on-Trent. Their performance was an incredible success as they captivated the audience with their beautiful voices. Radio Stoke even recorded them singing two beloved songs: "Yellow Bird" and "The Carnival is Over". The nuns' repertoire includes popular tunes like "Lily the Pink" "Those were the Days" and "Scarlet Ribbons". Back at Broome Court, which serves as the ancestral home of the Earl of Coventry, these remarkable nuns continue to entertain some of the 140 residential boys under their care. Their voices blend harmoniously together creating a truly magnificent sound that resonates throughout every corner of this special place. This image captures not only a moment frozen in time but also showcases how music can transcend barriers and touch hearts regardless of one's circumstances or abilities. It reminds us all of the power that lies within compassion and dedication to making a positive impact on others' lives through acts both big and small. (Word count: 223)
