A pupil of Truro Diocesan Training College, a training college for School Mistresses, working in the school laboratory. The college opened in 1859. Young women aged 18 years entered the college after an apprenticeship of four or five years as a pupil teacher. The college closed in 1938 and became known as St Pauls Church of England School.
