Apollo Lunar Module interior
Apollo Lunar Module interior. Designed for a crew of two, the controls were used by the pilot to descend from lunar orbit to the Moons surface, and ascend again to rejoin the third Apollo crew member in the Command/Service Module for the journey home. The view out of the cockpit windows is the famous Earthrise view of the Earth seen from the Moon. The Apollo program that culminated in several manned missions to the Moon took place between 1961 and 1975.
