The receipt reveals that Ray Charles Robinson received $82.50 from Swing Time Record Company for a recording session at Universal Studios. During this period, Ray Charles adopted his iconic stage name to avoid confusion with the renowned boxer Sugar Ray Robinson. Shortly after this recording session, he went on to produce two more remarkable R&B hits: "Baby, Let Me Hold Your Hand" in 1951 and "Kissa Me Baby" in 1952.
